Ford XLD418 cam belt replacement Page 1 of 5

The cam shaft drive belt on the XLD418 engine requires replacing every 600 hours and the fuel injection pump drive belt every 1200 hours.

NB The belts are uni-directional so please take care when fitting (there is an indicator arrow on the belt). The crankshaft rotates in a clockwise direction.

The belts should only be replaced with the engine cold (ie not run for 4 hours)
