Amazone ZAU Fertilizer Spreader - Setting Guide

N.B. These settings are issued as a guide only. No responsibility is assumed by the manufacturer of the spreader or by T.J.Frazier as to the accuracy of the spread pattern from the following settings due to the wide variation in fertiliser types, condition, and weather conditions. The guide is mainly intended to show which discs may be required to suit the general type of fertiliser you wish to apply at any particular spreading width. To ensure the accuracy of the spread pattern it is essential that proper tray tests be carried out.

The figures in the chart shown below the disc type relate to the difference in height between the back of the disc and the front. E.G. To spread Nitram at 18m bout width use the grey discs with the back of the discs tilted down 2cm lower than the front of the discs.

** For spreading compound on 24m bout widths the swivel blades on the discs should be tilted upwards

? This chart has been compiled by Amazone Ltd. from results of previous field tray tests. The results from spreading urea at wide bout widths have proved to be variable, depending on the urea quality, so tilt settings can only be established by tray testing. It is essential that you contact Amazone Ltd. before attempting to spread at these widths - it may not be possible with some types of urea.

Disc height should be 100-120cm above the crop for all discs and fertiliser types

  N = RED - STANDARD
  B = WHITE - WIDE SPREAD
  S1 = ORANGE
  S2 = GREY
  S3 = YELLOW
  S4 = BROWN
