LandRover
axle identification
Several different axle types have been fitted to the Agribuggy particularly between 1989 and June 1993. To identify an axle type please look for the serial number on the casing next to the axle breather. The first three digits signifies the axle type eg. 61L. This code is required when ordering parts
The standard axle types are as follows:
1993>
|
Front steer 61L
(Def'r 90) |
All axles with
these serial numbers have twenty four splines where the halfshafts
fit into the differential. |
1991 - 1993 |
Front steer 20L
(LR 110) |
All axles with
these serial numbers have ten splines where the halfshafts fit into
the differential. |
<1991 |
Various used but majority were LR 90 front and rear. |
May have had
oversize(LR110) brakes - Identify on page
10
where all front pad types are shown. |
For non-standard axle types the parts should still be identifiable from one of the above parts drawings.
