Operating - Purge / Hand lance

Rinsing the spraylines

With the purge system it is also possible to rinse the spray lines with clean water (assuming clean water tank is fitted) and leave chemical in the main tank. This is useful, for example, if you get rained off before the tank is empty.

It is inevitable that if the spray lines are rinsed with clean water that some dilution of the chemical in the main tank will occur.

To rinse the spraylines proceed as follows:

a) Set main control valves to the purge positions and commence purging.

b) Set clean water valve (right) to clean water position.

c) Wait 30 seconds.

d) Set main suction valve back to spray/circulate.

e) Set clean water valve back to circulate.

Wash lance / hose reel (Optional)

The sprayer may be fitted with a hand washing lance for cleaning booms off in the field or designated washing area. Please consult the appropriate regulations before using the washing system.

The Hose reel and control valve are situated on the off side of the sprayer. The lance is fitted with a trigger mechanism.

To wash the outside of the machine off with clean water proceed as follows:

a) Set engine on a fast tickover with the spray pump running at 200-250rpm.

b) Set main pressure valve to spray/circulate.

c) Set main suction valve to clean water.

d) Allow a few seconds for the clean water to circulate through the pump and then set the lance control valve to the wash position.

e) Wash the boom/machine as required and then return the valves to the normal spray positions.
